Endodontics specialist Berlin: microscope-assisted root canal treatment
Endodontology (also known as endodontics) is the study of the inside of the tooth. As a dentist in Friedrichshain specializing in endodontics, we therefore primarily treat our patients for diseases of the pulp-dentin complex. “Pulp” refers to the soft interior of the tooth, which is also called the dental nerve or dental pulp and runs from the crown of the tooth to the tip of the root. “Dentin” is the name of the tooth bone surrounding the pulp. Diseases in this area can be caused, for example, by inflammation of the dental nerve following severe tooth decay or as a result of a dental accident.

Tooth preservation through endodontic treatment in the dental practice in Berlin Friedrichshain
In our work as endodontists, the preservation of the diseased tooth is clearly our priority, because from both a functional and financial point of view, the preservation of natural teeth is preferable to a replacement. After completing an initial, in-depth diagnosis, we can decide whether the tooth can be saved by means of root canal treatment or whether it may have to be extracted after all.
During root canal treatment, the dead pulp tissue is removed and the cavity that is left behind is thoroughly cleared out and cleaned of bacteria so that it can then be sealed with a root filling. Microscope treatment: Breakthrough in endodontics
In order to be able to carry out root canal treatment with optimum results, we prefer to work with a dental microscope. In this way, even highly curved root canals can be optimally cleaned and the result promises many years of satisfaction. As root canal treatment with a microscope requires special technical equipment and the necessary training and experience on the part of the dentist performing the treatment, only selected practices currently offer this service. As a dentist for Friedrichshain, we are pleased to be one of them. You are welcome to be referred to our dental practice from other districts for microscope treatment or root canal treatment revision.
